The prestressing sequence of the containment post-tensioning system (CPTS) is determined to minimize elastic shortening caused by compressive deformation of concrete. In the case of non-bonded tendon systems, frictional losses occur between the duct and the tendon, resulting in varying stress distributions per tendon; therefore, it is necessary to develop modeling methods and procedures capable of accurately simulating these frictional losses. Although the slip-friction behavior between the tendon and the duct can be simulated using contact nonlinearity, it is difficult to apply this as an analytical technique for commercial nuclear power plant containment buildings due to issues such as the need to arbitrarily adjust the bone friction coefficient and long computation times. Accordingly, this study calculated the stress distribution per tendon based on a frictional loss evaluation formula and developed an analysis method and procedure capable of simulating the stress distribution per tendon through negative temperature adjustment between nodes of the tendon model. Furthermore, we proposed a method for optimizing the tensioning sequence of tendons in domestic commercial nuclear power plant containment buildings and analyzed safety by applying a finite element model and the developed method for introducing tendon tensioning forces. Through this analysis, the suitability and practicality of the developed method for introducing tension force to non-bonded tendons were confirmed, and it was confirmed that the stress state resulting from the analysis of the containment building satisfies the allowable stress criteria of KEPIC SNB. For reference, if the results of this study are applied to the field tensioning work procedures for tendons in domestic commercial nuclear power plant containment buildings, the construction period can be shortened.
